Beware of Phone Scam: Windows Support

Written by

Just received a call from "Windows Support Tech" and the guy tried to pull one of these Support Scams referenced here and here.  It's surprising that they are still trying this scam, years later.

This guy called from "Suzan Champagne" - number 1-450-623-7415

Wanted to share so that hopefully other people aren't fooled by this type of scam.  I was able to use my iPhone to record the call for reference:

You'll notice that towards the end of my call, the support guy realized that I'm not using Windows; I'm on a Mac, and that's when he told me to "Shut Up."  Ha!
